What New Perspectives means to me

“A moment of calm in the middle of the day in preparation for a busy afternoon.”
“New Perspectives was a much-needed chance to stop, breathe and reflect in the middle of a busy week.”
“This week’s topic, time management, opened my eyes to the fact that how I use my time shapes the kind of life I’m living. The shift in perspective was profound – rather than focusing on ‘fitting more in’, time management for me is about mindfully aligning daily choices on how I use my time with who I am and what matters most to me.”
“Cécile created a welcoming, reflective space where it felt safe to slow down and explore. Her way of holding space is quietly powerful: rooted in deep listening, empathy, sensitivity and a gentle presence that invites honesty without pressure.”
“I came away with a fresh perspective, a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to be more deliberate with my time - minute by minute. Cécile helped me reconnect with what matters most, and the impact will stay with me.”
This is what participants shared after the first New Perspective session this week. And it is exactly why I created New Perspectives, a thinking space for busy people.
With New Perspectives I bring together the reflective depth of a coaching session with the leadership insights needed in today’s fast-paced world, drawing also on my own experience – of both thriving and suffering in a demanding corporate role – and my ability to create calm, confidential spaces where we can do our best thinking.
A few years ago, my dear friend Clare and I were talking about what we wanted from our work when she said, “… and to connect spiritually too”. It surprised me. In all my years of corporate communications work, no one had ever spoken about the spiritual side of it – the deeper meaning, the impact, the purpose and the power of what we do. Clare was a vibrant, beautiful woman, in the prime of her life and the middle of her career, full of ambition and drive. Yet, she tragically was also suffering with terminal cancer. She passed away just a few months later, making this brief conversation I had with her so profound and meaningful – it changed my life.
This week, in this first session of New Perspectives, I spoke with the participants about the spiritual side of working life – the sacred gift of time; and how we have a task of making every minute count. Against the context of that beautiful conversation I had a few years ago, this marked a profound beginning for me. New Perspectives is here to stay!
And hearing how it’s landed through these wonderful testimonials… I’m so grateful, because this is my gift to the world. This is what makes my working life meaningful.
